1500 sq. ft

Andheri, Mumbai

Commercial Office

Nov 2018 – Jan 2019

The brief required us to create varied spaces for the different functions of an office that would be utilized by a team of 10. Transparency was paramount in this 1500 sq. ft. space and we developed an open plan based on the concept of ‘a catalogue of objects’. Each ‘object’ was a representation for a different space within the office, which would have its own unique identity in terms of material and function. The stark glass conference room in the center was placed at an axis that allowed for a welcoming flow of movement around the space. The huddle room, workstations, director’s cabin and pantry form the perimeter. Every space was carefully detailed and customized for the function it was to perform and stood in contrast to each other.

The pantry is defined by a lightweight curved screen that is made of perforated mesh, which ensures the area is not disconnected from the rest of the space.

An expression of paradox with a rust finished hard exterior and a soft cushioned interior, the huddle room was crafted to call-to-mind a cone of silence.

Taking up a large portion of the space, the glass walls of the conference room create an openness that invites people to share their ideas
